What do you do for a living? Do you like your job? How long have you been in the same occupation?
I basically work for myself. I contract merchandising and installation work from retailers from Toy R Us to Best Buy. That means in places like TRU I set the fixtures and move parts of the store to other areas when they reset them. In places like BB I install most of the displays units, like the cameras and computer speaker displays. I also install most of the cosmetic sections drug stores. I have worked in every major retailer I can think of.
I also sales rep for an over the counter drug distributor, selling to mom and pop pharmacies. I love what I do, I can pretty much work when I want. In summer I usually choose to only work Tues through Thursday. Monday and Friday are too close to the weekend! LOL

Re:Hey now, you ain't yakking to no dumb bunny here sailor. I's knows what a privateer is. And I think you romanticized it a bit :) Poetic license...or rather.. Maritime license?

A privateer was a private warship holding a letter or letters from a government authorizing attacks on foreign enemy vessels. A Letter of Marque.
Legal piracy :)
Also used as a decription for someone racing without sponsorship.

Re: You are a privateer....a highwayman...a bank robber??????????????????? Hey...I judge no one...just don't shoot me if you catch me at an atm, I will be truly irked at you.

Is it considered appropriate to not reveal what I do for a living?
I didn't put it on the profile as there was no catagory that comes close.
Additionally I prefer not to be judged or catagorized by what I do for a living. I don't like to answer questions about it with the public in general.
Don't get me wrong I'm proud of my professional achievements and love what I do. I wouldn't change it for the world. In fact its let me see most of the world and travel to interesting places.
People react to my profession positively but its not what I want to be looked at as. I would rather be considered for who I am then what I do.
Your thoughts?
