Did you believe in Santa as a child?? If so, do you recall when and/or how you found out there is no Santa? I loved Santa from afar but one year he came to my house. I must have been about 6 and he (I later found it is was a she!!) scared me to death!! I ran and locked myself in the bedroom. I was terrified, the reality of Santa being at my house calling for me, plus the big, loud voice. I was such a wussy kid. Anyway, my dad got me out of the bedroom and got me on Santa's lap. I was rigid with fear but I kept wondering why Santa looked like Polly's (my sister's friend) mother. So I was terrified and confused. Was Santa a lady???? Oh my poor 6 year old psyche!! After that I guess I always suspected every Santa was really not THE SANTA. I don't recall anyone telling me there was no Santa. They probably knew I couldn't handle another Santa trauma. So what is your Santa story??
