Sure would like to hear other comments about seeing women on bikes!!

Sad to hear what you say whitebiker  as you gotta start with 'new leathers' sometime !!! Why shouldn't women ride bikes?

I would have to agree with that statement! I followed a woman on a sportsbike down the Black Spur (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) the other day. I felt no inclination to overtake, just let myself enjoy the experience of seeing her swing through the corners, leaning off the bike, she was a good rider. Different story with the chubby chap on the Harley, couldn't wait to get past him!

What constitutes sexy to one may be a turnoff to another. I ride because I LOVE it, and I don't give a flying faggot if anyone judges me on what I do or think. I love to ride (12,000 miles this year so far) and plan to do it as long as I can keep it upright. This image is the costume I wore for the the Inland Empire Corset Run (Breast Cancer fundraiser). Do you think it is sexy that a woman can wear this and ride a motorcycle? And does it matter?

I think there are certain bikes a woman can look good on, but most of the chicks I see driving the bike lack road skills, and the bikes looks to heavy unless you are a big gal! Now dirt bikes I thinks that is a different story!

It's either Damn Sexy or Damn Scary. Nothing like a wanna-be, male or female, who doesn't have the training or experience... riding to big to fast? Stay away from those types!

Hi FLSTF gal,
I rode from Atlanta to LA in 93' on my own, camping in State Parks each night. I did it in 5 days.
Easy, you might say, your Male!
But not so, as I come from a small, remote village in the Scottish Highlands & had never been to the US before, or ridden on the right (we drive/ride on the LEFT side of the road in the UK).
The bike was a 78' 650 Yam that I paid $500 for, the week before I left Atl!
I have been riding for 29 years now, but nothing really prepares you for such a trip, so all I can say is do your preparation throughly, keep your eyes open on the Freeway, when you stop to eat, park in front of the diner & sit by the window so you can watch your scoot while you dine, if you can't, move on to the next diner, there are plenty to choose from in the US!
Simple things like that & you will be fine! Wear leathers, regardless of how hot it gets, better to be sweaty & have all your hide than be fragrant & needing loads of grafts or worse....
Oh, take plenty of pics, as you may only do that big road trip once!
I did it 4 times in total, I rode the bike back in 95' via Laramie, Wyoming & IN, & rode another bike from Atl-San Antonio-Michigan-Ontario-NY State-Atl in 98'

I'm sorry to say to all the feMALES out there but, I do not find it sexy at all. It's almost the same as seeing a wanna-be on a bike with 1500 miles on it while wearing full brand new leathers in 80 decree weather. It MIGHT be acceptable it they could woop my a@# or if her girlfriend could.
