Scams are one of the most unwanted emails or im's anyone can get. Beware of anyone who asks for money online. They will tell you they are coming to the united states to be with you just to get your money. Don't ever send anyone you do not know money for any reason. They will string you along for months until they thing they have you in there hands. then they ask you to send them money so they can come see you. Some disapear or just don't respond to you once they get it. Don't take money orders or checks from them. Even if they tell you part of it is yours. If you recieve a check or moneyorder from someone,check to see if it has a water mark. They way to do this is copy it. Void will show up if it is a good check or moneyorder. Check them out with your bank before you send any money back. DON'T BE TAKEN BY THESE CON ARTIST.

Pictures that are high quality are often a warning sign
Usually young and very attractive
Favorite scams: sick parent or sibling, rich but can't cash check for number of reasons; government changed, taxes, inheritance they don't want family to know about , someone died and left it in an account, they have imaginative reasons for you to cash a check , which is fake, for them ...you deposit it send them the percentage and get the check bounced back at you....Most of these people are in Nigeria, Ghana, and other countries that have NO INTERNET REGULATIONS...ie you have no recourse to get your money back IT IS GONE...

Anyone asks me for money on the internet is going to be laughed at. You just can't trust anyone these days.

I agree with you tinker. It happens on a lot of other sites too.
