Ok, this is meant to be both facetious and serious, so bear with me.

If age doesn't matter, why, then, are we all not shopping at the local convalescent homes? Probably because we can visualize more clearly the end of the relationship.

Whaddya think?

Mick

Age to me does matter within reason.I don
t want someone from the convalescent
home or way over me in age,but I don
t want some baby ether.The younegest I
ve dated is a guy that was 29.I have to draw the line somewhere but though he was fine with it, to me it felt weird.
Not purposely I
ve always been with guys that
s been at least 4-5 years younger than me.I
ve dated a few older guys they all seem pretty much the same.

Don't know, I hate to be a pizzy old man, and usually I am not, but looks like I have a lot of "going against the grain" in me of late. (probably lack of s_x is my guess)

Mick

Dang...Maybe that's what I have... a lack of s_x.

Let's see I've dated both older and younger men. I don't think age should be an issue it depends on who you "click" with. But I must say the best relationship I had was with a younger man, he was wonderful even though he broke my heart when we split.

Hi Raven... after seeing your profile I can see why he wanted to date you to begin with , I don't know why he broke your heart , you seem real down to earth and fun to be around , not to mention beautiful !!

I've spent time with older and younger women.

Not quite sure how to put this into words...

Rather than go out and hunt that which I think I am looking for...
I've decided to wander out into the 'forest' and let that which might be considered my prey find me.

Have had more than one person, which I've suggested this strategy to, tell me the concept has merit - trick being, you have to identify the demographic of that which you feel might be a 'fit'.
For some it might be the social structure of a church affair.
Some have reported that community supported opera, orchestra, blues, jazz, classical music events have yielded well.

I look at it as 'what do I love to do?'

I venture off in search of my own personal enjoyment. It is amazing the likelyhood of my bumping into a kindred soul while having the best of times.
Pretty easy to make the next step the inclusion of shared interests.

Age?
'Fraid that age doesn't much come into play. Perhaps it has something to the age of one's soul...

Can't help but think the odds of this old man hookin' up with a 19 year old will be limited to the fleeting benefit of the moment.

Fantasy, at best, is of the moment, life is evermore...

CW: Beautiful post! Doing what we love to do; we are bound to find kindred spirits.
Mick: Would you laugh, or get pizzed if i told you that sometimes you remind me of Speedy Jerry?
To others who posted before; Great looking chopper, sorry your man left, ummm CRS! Best wishes to every one and may your life be the fantasy you live every day.

Muah...
Peace

I concur, age really doesn't matter. I have found it is who your are and whether you can compliment one another. Also, having some of the same interests yet not all. You can be a couple without being glued to each others hip. My experience has been if you have some different interests then you have more to share when you get together and at the same time have given both people breathing space. I also believe the timing has to be right. Two people have to be emotionally in the same place to hook up. I just missed out and it was all a matter of timing. His shared with me his engagement had ended. He was hurt and worked then realized he didn't want to be lonely. He just started dating a woman. I'm just about to give up. Zzoom, -vetducgirl

Most of the men I've dated lately are younger. It used to bother me but not anymore. They usually tease me a lot about being older but it's all in fun. I have met some very nice men. But I'm looking for a life long partner. My former husband divorced me so I could find another man as he won't be around much longer. However, I finding that men have been burned bad by previous women. So they have a hard time trusting or committing to another. I'm just a girl looking for a boy! Zmooom, -vetducgirl

My ex was 12 years older, we always got along. It is inside that is what makes a relationship work, regardless of age.We had good times, bad times.Looking back at it all I guess we just matured past each other(12 years later). So follow your instincts and see where it goes.

I would have to agree with you all, age is just a number. To me it all depends on what your looking for. Young or old if you never take a chance life will just pass you by ... a life worth living is worth taking chances ...

I use to have a problem with the age difference, but I'll take them younger any time. They seem better matched to my energy level and activity interests. If the chemistry is there --why not go for it!
