justyforya...i've been on my own for years and years. i spent 4 of those totally engrossed in my house and kids, nothing else. plenty of time to appreciate being alone, and got myself together pretty well i think. then when i do start to date, i find people our age still playing the games from high school. i just don't understand.

I'm on numerous other Net forums on various topics and even run a few of my own, and all have different guidelines. I haven't found anything here that gives specifics as to what is allowed and what is not.

Can someone enlighten me?

An old man, a boy & a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey & the old man walked. As they went along they passed some people who remarked it was a shame the old man was walking & the boy was riding.

The man & boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions.

Later, they passed some people that remarked, "What a shame, he makes that little boy walk."

They then decided they both would walk! Soon they passed some more people who thought they were stupid to walk when they had a decent donkey to ride. So, they both rode the donkey.

Now they passed some people that shamed them by saying how awful to put such a load on a poor donkey.

The boy & man said they were probably right, so they decide to carry the donkey. As they crossed the bridge, they lost their grip on the animal & he fell into the river and drowned.

The moral of the story?

If you try to please everyone, you might as well...

After I knew the relationship was over,

something from it. I also wondered why
I even needed that lesson at my age.
(maybe a refresher course lol) But it
changed me, made me stronger. Made me
realize, its time to make the changes
in my life that I've put off for so
long. I'm a better person for it. And
I know if I keep looking, I run the
risk of it happening again. We all do.
But I believe in happiness. Its out
there somewhere.
